A serene multi-culture wedding in Pink City Jaipur!
Avni & Matt’s wedding was so far the most unique one we have planned. They say the world has become smaller and this wedding was the testimony to that. With guest from all over the world, groom from Scotland, and bride from Canada, the planners from Mumbai and wedding in Jaipur. This Wedding was virtually planned with all details to the tee. Hours of google meet call, WhatsApp group chats and detailed email communication led something extremely beautiful, a wedding of their dreams.
The festivities kicked off with a sundowner at Hawa Mahal, the couple hosted a lively, fun-filled cocktail dinner at an open-air venue under the stars. The white party was a hit. The morning of pre-wedding rituals started with Mehendi ceremony which took the guests on a vividly colourful journey through Rajasthan. Imagined in hues of purple, pink, and orange, the decor saw tons of flowers, prints, and more, offering a modern representation of the region with a quirky flare. Games such as beer pong & table tennis, a boozy coconut counter and fun activities kept the guests engaged.
The couple along with their families gave glamour a leg-up with a stunning sangeet. The Scottish guests performing on choreographed dances on Bollywood songs was a sight to remember. High on energy performances and graceful moves – the sangeet combined all things elegant and sophisticated in the decor. Guests, who came from all over the world, experienced India in more ways than only cuisine. The after-party an epic one as everyone was high-spirited till the wee hours of the morning.
The D-day kicked off with the Haldi ceremony in the morning. Everyone looked bright and joyful in hues of yellow, and the ceremony was filled with blessings, love, and laughter. The groom enjoyed the ritual in a yellow kurta as everyone smeared him in turmeric paste.
The wedding ceremony took place with the Gujarati rituals and traditions. The couple’s union was marked with an explosion of joy and energy as they exchanged varmalas and tied the knot.
The magic of the occasion flowed into the reception that followed as the newlyweds walked in with tunes of Scottish drums and bagpipe. Fireworks and cake-cutting were followed by heartfelt speeches by their siblings and friends. A rousing Scottish ceilidh dance brought the night to a festive close, with loved ones twirling and stomping together where they danced the night away with their friends and family.
